Happy teachers reuniting together at the maltese conference. Sharing ideas and activities at the Fairplayactivity led by cyprus teachers. We had a great time together and it is easy to work with such a view!

The maltese teachers gave us an excellent week filled with activities, meetings and castles. Guidelines for this year is laid down and mascots has been exchanged. Let the erasmusyear be a productive one. Lots of things is happening on our etwinningsite.fullsizeoutput_11c

During the conference we took the opportunity to interact and play together with the students of St Ignatius middle school. Here we are active playing “Catch the bottle”…..or “Snappa vanten” (in swedish) together in the schoolyard.

Projectmeeting in France

Teachers from all partnerschools came to the french conference 13-17/3. We stayed in beautiful Besancon and we worked together at Philippes school, Jean Macé. The week was filled with workshops around our recent projectactivities at our schools. We reviewed that work together and at the same time we also had discussiongroups to form our new activities to come. All according to our projecttext.

We also enjoyed the hospitality of the french teachers and their students. We had a lovely time meeting them. The visiting teachers even got the time to teach at the end of the week. We learned a lot and we have a lot of new inputs to take home to our schools.

Activity on eTwinning

etwinning

eTwinning is a closed secure digital online platform for us teachers, pupils and schools around Europe.

There is a lot of activity at that site. You cannot see the posts if you are not logged in. But I can tell there are lots of interesting and learning activities posted from partnerschools right now. This is a good and professional tool for us and the project.

We can post, review, interact and collaborate on eTwinning.

Report from Malta

Europe Anthem: The Making of the Malta Part

A month ago Ms. Fava (Project Coordinator) and our English teachers approached us to ask whether we would be interested to sing part of the European Anthem. She also explained to us that the school was participated in a project together with six others schools from six different European Countries. We both accepted. Subsequently, Ms. Brincat (Project Coordinator) gave us the text to study and decided when we would be recording.

Indeed, the recording was set to be on Friday 17th February 2017, a busy day for both of us since it was just after an examination. Nonetheless, we were eager to and a bit shy to do it since we were told that it was going to be filmed as well.

In class, where the recording and filming was going to be held, apart from Ms. Brincat, Ms. Fava and Mr. Mizzi who are coordinating the project, there were also Mr. Garcia (Music Teacher) and Mr. Formosa (eLearning Support Teacher).

Mr. Garcia advised us about the beat, intonation, and a number of other singing arrangements. He also accompanied us with his guitar. He also suggested that it would be better if the first four lines were sang separately, and the final part jointly.

Thus, after a couple of rehearsing, it was the time to record the mp3 version. Following that, it was the time for the video recording. The recording was taken by Mr. Formosa who will also edit and arrange the whole clip with the contributions of all partners.

It was a very enriching experience and we are eager to see the final product finalised.
