Final conference in Sweden

Europe came to Sweden and the city of Karlskrona for a couple of days. We had amazing days together with lots of interactivity in the classrooms at Rödebyskolan. The weather was hot, students were great and we all had fun together this last meeting.

The conference part for us teachers were mainly about reporting about activities and uploadings to twinspace and discussions about the upcoming final report. Besides that the cultural exchange invited guests to museums and to a boatride around our city. Karlskrona being an island., Welcoming ceremony with students doing Luciacelebrations and dancing around the swedish midsummer pole started the work. There were also an exhibition of art which students from Rödebyskolan has done during the three years. depicting something special from each partnercountry.

People who made a change

IMG_8757

The students at our different schools are busy doing a lot of activities in our partnership and telling the story of their countries. One of the activities is called “People who made a change” One of the people that students in the swedish school wrote about was Ingvar Kamprad. He created the worldwide selling furnitureshop IKEA. Every house in Sweden has something from IKEA. Maybe even in your house?

We are learning a lot when looking at each others countries and how they work. At the same time it is our responsibilty to tell our story. Knowing me, knowing you.

On bike through Europe

As a part of our european partnership we are discussing traffic, traffic rules and safe ways to go by bike. It is both a healthy and a environmental friendly way of transport. It is a part of our activitiy Rules and rights. Here you can see some of the nice italian products. The students have studied traffic and how the bike should be set up. But we think that the kids enjoyed the bike action course which makes them train to handle the bike inmany different ways, similar to traffic but in a safe environment. Lots of fun. We have been sharing our videos of the kids cycling and documents on our Twinspace.

Bulgarian meeting

Snow fell upon the meeting in the bulgarian mountains. A nice touch to a beautiful week together. Filled with lectures about debates and communication, Global goals, Rules and rights from our activities, The european bicycle licence and off course the intercultural exchange between both us and Bulgaria but also between our different partnerschools. A truly european week.

Devin, Grohotno and all kids and all that folkmusic made a great background to the week. All partners really communicated and enjoyed the stay.

We discussed and agreed upon the last months work in our partnership until we finish it all in Sweden and a last conference together.

Meeting in Italy

The meeting in Italy was a success. Not only did we manage to hold different ICT-workshops together and for each other. We also managed to bake our own pizza and make our own mozzarella at a organic farm. The recipybooks are now published. There were a lot of discussions and progress made within our partnership. Thank you so much Italy for a lovely week filled with intercultural discussons and the feeling of being a european.

The dissemination of work within the partnership was done and we also discussed a new topic for the bulgarian conference……Global goals…

Grazie!
